Position Summary: 
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager to lead our human resources function and help support a growing, mission-driven team. In addition to core HR responsibilities, this role will also assist with select Facility Security Officer (FSO)-related administrative tasks, particularly around personnel clearances and compliance coordination. 
This is a hands-on position with a balance of strategic and operational duties, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding. 
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. 
  • Oversee HR systems and records, ensuring accurate and secure employee data. 
  • Support payroll coordination and benefits administration. 
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals and culture. 
  • Lead employee engagement, development, and training initiatives. 
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership on HR-related matters. 
  • Assist with coordinating personnel security clearance processes (e.g., tracking clearance status, onboarding cleared staff). 
  • Help maintain compliance with NISPOM guidelines related to cleared personnel. 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a government contracting or regulated environment. 
  • Familiarity with personnel security requirements and clearance processes is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. 
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality. 
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is a plus. 

Preferred: 
  • Experience supporting cleared employees or working in a cleared facility. 
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
