Project Overview
We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support the modernization of a large-scale enterprise software development platform. This role focuses on securing CI/CD pipelines, enforcing DevSecOps best practices, and implementing automated security testing throughout the SDLC. The engineer will work closely with development and platform engineering teams to embed security into reusable templates, GitHub Actions, and deployment workflows, ensuring applications are built and deployed securely across environments.

Project Overview

This role focuses on securing CI/CD pipelines, enforcing DevSecOps best practices, and implementing automated security testing throughout the SDLC. The engineer will work closely with development and platform engineering teams to embed security into reusable templates, GitHub Actions, and deployment workflows, ensuring applications are built and deployed securely across environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operations and maintenance of the DevSecOps platform
- Design, develop, and maintain custom GitHub Actions for automated testing workflows
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipeline capabilities to meet evolving FDIC requirements
- Provide pipeline support and guidance to development teams across the organization
- Review application security findings and assist teams with remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain automated test suites across multiple testing layers
- Define and implement enterprise testing standards, frameworks, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing efficiency and coverage
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Candidate must be willing to obtain the Public Trust Clearance.
- Strong experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and test automation
- Subject Matter Expertise in automated testing tools such as: Playwright, Selenium, Subject7, Jmeter, Azure App Testing
- Ability to build test automation from requirements
- Experience creating and managing user stories
- Ability to migrate automated test cases across environments
- Strong capability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience creating end-user and technical documentation
Preferred Skills
- Experience facilitating technical/support meetings
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and workflows
- Strong troubleshooting skills for debugging broken test cases
