Position Summary:
VivSoft is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD environments supporting Department of Defense (DoD) missions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevSecOps practices, application development, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native technologies.
You will collaborate with cloud architects, cybersecurity engineers, and software teams to deliver high-performance, secure, and automated DevSecOps pipelines in alignment with the DoD CIO DevSecOps Reference Design. Candidates must have active TS/SCI clearance.

VivSoft is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD environments supporting Department of Defense (DoD) missions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevSecOps practices, application development, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native technologies.
You will collaborate with cloud architects, cybersecurity engineers, and software teams to deliver high-performance, secure, and automated DevSecOps pipelines in alignment with the DoD CIO DevSecOps Reference Design. Candidates must have active TS/SCI clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage CI/CD cloud environments using best practices and DoD reference architectures.
- Automate containerized deployments with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and GitOps tools.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Develop and secure microservices applications in Python, Java, React, or related technologies.
- Integrate and support DevSecOps workflows with GitLab CI/CD (or similar).
- Ensure security compliance using the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Conduct SAST/DAST vulnerability scanning and implement security best practices in the SDLC.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, cyber, and architecture teams.
- (Preferred) Integrate metadata solutions such as DataHub into CI/CD and data workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
- GitLab CI/CD (or similar CI/CD tools)
- Python scripting and application development
- Java and React (for application interaction/support)
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiarity with:
- Secure software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- NIST RMF and DoD cybersecurity standards
- Microservices and distributed infrastructure
Preferred Skills and Tools:
- Experience with DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture
- Familiarity with tools: RKE2, GitOps (Argo CD, Flux), Kustomize, Big Bang
- Security tools: SOPS, SAST/DAST scanning
- Exposure to:
- DataHub for metadata management
- Kafka, Keycloak, Gradle, or similar technologies
- Experience scaling and testing Kubernetes workloads in production
- Contributions to open-source DevSecOps or Kubernetes projects
