VivSoft Technologies is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer to join the DCSA NBIS DISS/PVAAMS team. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of mission-critical personnel vetting software used across the Department of Defense. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to the development and sustainment of mission-critical personnel vetting software used across the Department of Defense. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and unit-test application components under the direction of senior engineers
- Support CI/CD pipeline execution and monitor automated test results
- Assist with bug triage, defect resolution, and regression testing
- Document code and contribute to technical documentation and SOPs
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and PI planning events
- Support deployment activities in development and test environments
- Assist senior staff in maintaining RMF and security documentation
Required Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of software development experience (internships, academic projects, or professional work)
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
- Basic understanding of version control (Git) and agile development practices
- Active DoD Secret clearance at time of hire; must be a U.S. Person
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Academic or project experience with automated testing frameworks
- Interest in federal IT, cybersecurity, or DevSecOps careers
- DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification (Security+) a plus
