Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Data Analyst to support the creation, analysis, management, and governance of data used for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) model development and evaluation. This role will work at the forefront of emerging AI technologies, helping ensure that large and complex datasets are properly curated, analyzed, monitored, and maintained to support successful AI/ML initiatives.

The ideal candidate will combine strong data analysis and technical skills with an understanding of AI/ML technologies, large-scale datasets, and geospatial data. This individual will work closely with users, stakeholders, and software engineering teams to identify data needs, evaluate data quality, develop visualizations, and support AI solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data analysis, develop visualizations, and provide recommendations regarding data used for AI/ML model development
  • Evaluate the diversity and suitability of training datasets and assess alignment between training data and operational data
  • Support governance and oversight of data operations, including data preprocessing, labeling, curation, and management
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical tools used to monitor and evaluate data operations
  • Perform data quality monitoring, analysis, and assurance and provide recommendations to improve AI/ML and computer vision model performance
  • Analyze large volumes of geospatial data to identify patterns, trends, and potential solutions to complex user requirements
  • Work with structured and unstructured datasets to identify valuable data sources, support data curation activities, and assess overall data quality
  • Apply data and performance metrics to support product and technical decision-making
  • Evaluate industry-standard solutions and emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations regarding their applicability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, users, technical teams, and software engineers to translate operational needs into actionable data and technical requirements
  • Engage with users and customers to identify and understand underlying business and technical needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems involving interrelated and interdependent objectives
  • Support the complete AI product development lifecycle, including conceptualization, design, implementation, testing, and evaluation
  • Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies, research, tools, and industry practices and apply relevant advancements to ongoing initiatives

Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience working with Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning technologies
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with large-scale geospatial datasets
  • Demonstrated experience developing software using multiple programming languages and statistical packages
  • Knowledge of dataset management and analysis tools and AI/ML technologies
  • Demonstrated experience working with databases
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and metrics to drive technical and product decisions
  • Experience analyzing and assessing data quality for AI/ML applications
  • Strong critical-thinking skills and demonstrated ability to collaboratively solve complex problems in a team environment
  • Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously learn and adapt to rapidly evolving AI technologies
  • Familiarity with current AI research, technologies, and industry developments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, users, and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience supporting complex, mission-critical technology environments
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise information technology architectures and tools
  • Experience supporting acquisition programs or mission-support contracts within highly regulated environments
  • Scrum Master or related Agile certification
  • Active U.S. Government Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
