Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the implementation and operation of secure, scalable, and compliant Software Factory environments for the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). This role involves leading the design and deployment of secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating with Platform One, and ensuring continuous compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, manage, and maintain DevSecOps pipelines for complex projects using CI/CD pipelines.
- Supervise and coordinate DevOps systems and automations, including system utilization evaluation, response-time monitoring, and troubleshooting of DevOps tools, network, storage, and servers.
- Lead planning, technical review, and design of new DevOps systems and network operating systems.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads to fine-tune DevSecOps pipelines supporting CI/CD activities for specific projects.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
- Integrate security scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows.
- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, ensuring scalability and high availability.
- Provide documentation, training, and mentorship to development teams on DevSecOps best practices.
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet release goals
Skills Required:
- 2+ years of CI/CD experience and 5+ years of experience across the software development lifecycle
- OR 1+ year of CI/CD experience and 3+ years of SDLC experience with a DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, and containerization technologies (Docker).
- Strong knowledge of Git, GitLab CI/CD, or similar version control systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with security automation, vulnerability scanning, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
- CKA, CKAD and/or CKS certs a plus
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Sec+ cert a plus
- Previous experience with Federal Government
